The School of Drama participates actively in the cultural life of the University as well as the city of Thessaloniki, through lectures, performances, exhibitions, educational projects etc, which are the product of the educational procedure.

Academic conferences organized by the School of Drama:
▪ 1993: Conference on the work of Iakovos Kambanellis
▪ 2002: Conference for the 40 years of the National Theatre of Northern Greece
▪ 2007: International Conference on “The Actor Between the Stage and the Screen” (in collaboration with the School of Film, AUTH).
In Autumn 2010, the School organized an international conference devoted to the School’s founder, Nikiforos Papandreou, on Stage Practice in Post-War Theatre: Continuities and Discontinuities.
