During the acad. years 2012-13 and 2013-14, the School of Drama, in collaboration with Thessaloniki Municipality, organized the educational program Voices of the City – Historic walks, along with theatrical action, which was addressed to secondary education pupils. This program has been part of the festivities for the 100year since the liberation of our city, in a theatrical action which would enable pupils to approach the City’s history, to explore terms, such as city and active citizen, to care for the public interest, to get inspiration, to create, to love their city. Educators Avra Avdi and Melina Hadjigheorghiou received for this project the Excellency Award, in the “Link with Society’ category, of AUTH.
