The School of Drama is one of the four departments that comprise the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The School offers a five-year degree in Drama and Theatre. The course seeks to bridge the gap between theory, scholarship, and practice, placing equal emphasis on the art of theatre as well as its study.
Besides the Core course requirements, related to the historical and theoretical study of dramaturgy, performance theory, and theatre practice, students work towards specialization in one of four majors:
- Dramaturgy and Performance Theory
- Stage and Costume Design
- Acting
- Theatre Directing
The programme also includes a unit of core courses in Theatre in Education.
